The Pasterze Glacier is the largest glacier in Austria. Underneath the highest mountain of Austria, the Großglockner, the glacier used to fill a whole valley with a layer of ice several hundred meters thick. Within the last century a lot of this has already melted away and by end of the century the valley will be free of ice. Abstract images like these are then something of the past. The images have been taken in 2019 and 2020.
